4,921 distressed students receive educational aid from DSWD in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) released 12,956,000 pesos in educational aid to 4,921 distressed students in Negros Occidental in the fourth installment on Saturday, September 10.

DSWD – Western Visayas said on Sunday, September 11 that 1,322 elementary school students, 1,054 high school students, 654 high school students and 1,891 college students received cash assistance in the province.

A total of P24,765,000 in education aid was released by DSWD to 8,851 students in crisis in the region.

A drop box was placed at the information desk in the initial validation area of ​​SM City Bacolod on Saturday to accommodate customers who were unable to register online.

The DSWD has two more Saturdays to distribute educational aid to needy students or until September 24.
