Unit I: Human Growth and Development II

a) Play (birth to 5 years), role of play in the growth and development of children. Active, passive, natural, serious and exploratory types of play, selection of children’s play equipment.

b) Childhood (3 to 11 years) – Age Specific Stages – Physical, Motor, Social, Emotional, Cognitive and Language

1. Make play materials suitable for children from birth to 5 years old (group activity)

2. Plan a balanced meal for yourself.

3. Make a time plan for yourself for a day.

4. Write a report on five wrongdoings you have observed in the market and write down your responsibilities as a consumer in each context.

5. Prepare a slogan/poster to raise awareness for consumer education

6. Remove stains from white cotton fabric: curry, grease, ballpoint pen ink, lipstick, tea and coffee

7. List five areas of agreement and disagreement each with parents, siblings, and friends, and make your suggestion for improving relationships.
