MP for Bibiani to provide subsidized loans to identifiable groups

Loans to business groups


The Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Mr. Alfred Obeng-Boateng promised to provide loans on favorable terms to identifiable groups in Bibiani and its surroundings to improve their activities.

Groups included teachers unions, bakers association, market women, mechanics, welders, mobile money association, plantain vendors. Others were, the Association of the Handicapped, dressmakers, hairdressers, carpenters, tomato growers and masons.

The MP made the promise when he interacted with the leaders of the groups in Bibiani over the weekend.

The idea was to learn about their problems and challenges and find ways to overcome them.

Mr. Obeng-Boateng expressed his gratitude to the people for their quick response to his appeal.

The MP said he would liaise with financial agencies to support them with loans to sustain and grow their businesses.

The leaders of the various associations expressed their gratitude to the deputy.

They promised to repay the loans quickly to allow others to benefit.

According to the leaders, this would go a long way in reducing their financial burden and developing their various activities.
