TN CM Stalin unveils hostels, school buildings


A total of 10 hostels for students from Adi Dravidar and tribal communities, and three school buildings, were constructed in nine districts

Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister, Deputy Stalin, on Wednesday virtually opened new buildings being constructed for the Adi Dravidar and the Tribal Welfare Department in various districts, constructed at a total cost of 23.78 crore.

A total of 10 hostels for students from Adi Dravidar and tribal communities and three school buildings have been constructed in Dindigul, Nagapattinam, Namakkal, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, The Nilgiris, Tiruchi, Tirupattur and Tiruvarur districts, according to an official statement.

Minister of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, Chief Secretary V. Irai Anbu, Secretary of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare K. Manivasan, General Manager of Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation ( TAHDCO) K. Vivekanandan and director of Tribal Bien-être, VC Rahul were present.

In another event, Mr. Stalin delivered letters of appointment to 23 people, who were offered jobs on humanitarian grounds. Minister of Livestock Anitha R. Radhakrishnan, Secretary of Livestock Department TS Jawahar, Director of Livestock and Veterinary Services A. Gnanasekaran, and senior officials were present.
